LOS ANGELES, CA—Local man Danny Campos rented space on a giant billboard to advertise his recent decision to unfollow a Facebook page that posted an article he did not like.
Campos had posted that he would be unfollowing the page in the comment section, proceeding to argue with everyone who replied to his comment for the next several days.
"I usually like this site's content, but this one went too far," he wrote. "That is why I'll be unfollowing the page, and I won't be engaging in any replies. It's been fun guys, but you should know that every piece of content you publish must cater to my incredibly specific positions."
But his bold declaration and subsequent comment war weren't enough: he decided he needed the world to know that he was unfollowing, so he called a local advertising agency and had a billboard made.
"Now maybe my decision to unfollow will get the attention it deserves," he said.
At publishing time, Campos had reserved a TV spot for the upcoming Super Bowl to explain his decision to unfollow the page.
